The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ) successfully hosted the workshop event "Norway 101" on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, aimed at exploring Norwegian business culture.

This fifth edition of the event was held in a seminar room located in an office building near Tokyo Station, as the Norwegian Embassy, the usual venue, was undergoing renovations.

On Thursday November 7th, the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (NCCJ) hosted the annual “Norwegian Seafood Dinner 2024” at the InterContinental Tokyo Bay. [Event Report] Arrival of "Saba Nouveau" and Norway Seafood Festival 2024 (日本語訳あり)

On Friday September 20th, the NCCJ, together with the Norwegian Embassy and the Norwegian Seafood Council attended the event marking the arrival of Norway's seasonal fresh mackerel “Saba Nouveau” at Haneda airport.

“Sava Nouveau” is a premium selection of Norwegian mackerel that meets strict criteria, with a fat content of approximately 30% and a weight of 500g or more. The fishing season is limited to late September through early November, when the mackerel is at its most flavorful and rich in fat. The name “Saba Nouveau” is inspired by the famous French wine “Beaujolais Nouveau”, which is well known in Japan.
