Team Norway Japan works together to promote Norwegian interests in Japan.
Team Norway is an initiative led by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries to enhance Norwegian business abroad through closer cooperation between different actors, such as the embassies, Innovation Norway, various support organisations and other sector related organisations.

On Monday 28th October we hosted a Team Norway Introduction Evening at the Aurora Hall of the Norwegian Embassy to introduce the new faces and to give corporate members and special invitees an introduction to Team Norway.
On October 21st, Norwegian Ambassador to Japan, Ms. Inga Nyhamar hosted a formal dinner with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway at the Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo. The Crown Prince visited Japan to participate in Emperor Naruhito's official enthronement ceremony taking place on October 22nd.
On June 11 we hosted our new event “NCCJ Norwegian Seafood Sushi Party” at the Norwegian Embassy, and the event also included a presentation about history and trends for Norwegian seafood in Japan by the Norwegian Seafood Council.
We were welcomed onboard Corporate Member Wilhelmsen Ship Management's newest vessel, the Viking Orion, for her Maiden call to Tokyo.
We are pleased to announce that the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry has confirmed his attendance in what will be the most important arena between executives from Norwegian and Asian ocean industries.
Recently a delegation from the Norwegian Standing Committee on Family and Cultural Affairs came to visit Japan and the Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo. As a part of their program, we gathered at Cafe Fuglen Asakusa along with our Corporate Members Fuglen and Stokke.
The Norwegian Minister of Fisheries, Mr. Harald Nesvik visited us at the Norwegian Embassy as a part of his one-week trip organized by the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) to meet with representatives of Japanese and Norwegian business partners.
Last week marked the opening of the Munch Exhibition in Tokyo Metropolitan Museum, and we at NCCJ had a busy week with Munch-related events. One of the highlights of the week was a seminar hosted by VisitNorway at the Norwegian Embassy, and as one of our Corporate Members we were present to facilitate for the occasion.
