About the Speaker
Kai Koto has had over 8 years experience in the food and beverage industry, and has been in the coffee industry for the past 4 years while working with Fuglen. He currently manages the cafe of Fuglen Tokyo in Tomigaya, Shibuya-ku.
About Fuglen
Originally called Kaffe Fuglen, Fuglen has been in the Oslo coffee scene since 1963. Later with evolution in the concept Fuglen has developed into a coffee-based café by day and a cocktail bar at night, within 100% Norwegian vintage interior decoration.
In 2012, with hopes to export the Norwegian café and cocktail style abroad, Fuglen opened the second location in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Subsequently, in September 2018, we opened Fuglen Asakusa, the second store in Japan, in the immediate vicinity of Sensoji Temple.
Fuglen Coffee Roasters was founded in 2014 and we started roasting in Japan. Continuing to develop the light roasting style of Nordic roast, established in Oslo, we look to showcase the original wonderful individuality of coffee, bringing out flavors of fruity, floral aroma, and transparent sweet aftertaste.
