About the Concept

What is Tie-in, Tie Off?

• A monthly benkyokai held the last Thursday of every month
• A short presentation, sometimes in Japanese, followed by Q&A and discussion (everything lasting around 1 hour)
• NCCJ Members Only

About the Event

Market insight and understanding the Japanese consumer is crucial for making the right decisions when working to promote Norwegian products and services in Japan. Seeing that seafood is Norway’s largest export to Japan, the NCCJ’s member and collaboration parter in Team Norway, Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC), continuously strive to stay updated on the latest trends, wishes and habits of the consumer.

In the first Tie-in, Tie Off of 2021, Mia Sætre Bernhardsen will cover the following topics with basis in the NSC’s recently launched insight study about the Japanese consumer:

  • Insight about the Japanese consumer

    • The consumer journey when purchasing (sea)food

    • What do the Japanese consumers want?

    • Which trends should we prepare for in the future?

      • Sustainability

      • Product development

  • Using insight to strengthen the brand: How does country of origin add value to the consumer?

This webinar will provide unique insights for understanding the Japanese consumer – applicable to all businesses working to promote their products and services in Japan. We are excited to welcome all our NCCJ members to participate in this valuable information sharing session.

  • Insight is at the base of all our decisions and we are proud to have one of the largest seafood data bases in the world.
