RION CORPORATION (previously Rion Music Co., Ltd.) was established in 2005 as a promoting company for Rio Yamase who is introducing the Norwegian folk instrument, Hardanger fiddle (or Hardingfele in Norwegian).

In 2009, the non-profit organization “Japan Hardanger Club”, an organization that aims for promoting Nordic traditional culture and welfare, was established as a related organization, and the "Hardanger violin scholarship system” was made for the first time in Asia.

In 2012, with the concept of cultivating "Art encouragement", "Suwayama Music Academy” was established in Nakameguro, and the Japanese first “Nordic music course (Hardanger violin school)” was attached. The school’s “Tokyo spelemannslag (music group)” is recognized in Norway as well.

From 2013, RION CORPORATION started a jewelry brand "Lilla Rio". This jewelry brand has a concept of design inspired by nature and culture of Hardanger area in Norway, but is made in Japan.
A YouTube channel "Rio Yamase's Nordic Study" started from 17th May 2020. There are 1,320 subscribes and 160,000 viewers as of 12th January 2021.

We have so far cooperated with Hardanger area in Norway to develop "Norwegian music and culture in Japan". Further on, we would like to cooperate with NCCJ to make this development spread more in Japan and also in Asia, and therefore applied to be a member.

株式会社リオンコーポレーションは2005年に、ヴァイオリニストでノルウェーの民族楽器ハルダンゲルヴァイオリン（現地名：ハーディングフェーレ）の紹介を勤める、山瀬理桜のプロモーション会社として設立されました。

2009年には、北欧と日本との文化交流や福祉の振興活動、並びに北欧の伝統芸術の普及を図る事を目的に「一般社団法人日本ハルダンゲルクラブ（現：日本ハルダンゲルクラブ）」が関係組織として発足、アジア初の「ハルダンゲルヴァイオリン スカラシップ制度」も誕生しました。

2012年には芸術や音楽を通じ『豊かな心』を育てる事をコンセプトに、中目黒に「諏訪山音楽学院」が開校し、日本初の「北欧音楽コース（ハルダンゲルヴァイオリン音楽院）」も併設。当院の「東京スペルマングループ」はノルウェーでも認知されています。

2013年からは、ノルウェーハルダンゲル地域の自然と文化をテーマにデザインされた、日本製の北欧デザインジュエリー「Lilla Rio（リラリオ）」の販売も始まり、

2020年5月17日からはYouTubeチャンネル「山瀬理桜の北欧学」もスタート。

チャンネル登録数1,320人、視聴回数160,000。（2021年1月12日現在）

ノルウェーのハルダンゲル地方と協力して育てた“日本のノルウェー音楽と文化”の人材やプログラムを、今後は「在日ノルウェー商工会議所」の会員と共業して、更に日本やアジアでの発展を希望します。
