Proximar Seafood AS is a Norwegian company listed on the Euronext Growth at Oslo Stock Exchange. Based on the Norwegian industry experience, the company is constructing the first large scale land-based facility in Japan, for production of Atlantic salmon. Located in Oyama Town in Shizuoka, approx. 1-2 hours from Tokyo, the company will serve the Japanese market with the freshest salmon produced in a sustainable and fully closed environment. The first stage facility currently under construction has an annual targeted production capacity of 6,300 tons (whole fish).
