Cultural Awareness – a Competitive Edge

While there are many similarities in culture between Norway and Japan, differences do exist. Companies that focus on training their employees to be aware of these differences – and that give them a chance to learn and master the basics of how people the other country think and act based on its history, culture and society – is rewarded with a confident and dynamic workforce, able to communicate effectively with their Norwegian counterparts.

The NCCJ is now offering a cultural awareness program for employees at all our member companies. The program consists of 2 x 20-minute videos are made by the NCCJ and the videos cover the topics of history, geography, economics, society, culture, and most importantly business culture. In addition to the two videos, we offer a follow-up session at the end to conduct a quiz, answer questions and dig deeper into topics of particular interest of the specific company in training. The offering is free and available to all NCCJ members.
