【Event Report】Tie-in, Tie Off: Dealing with COVID-19 – Lessons Learnt and Moving Forward 2.0

First NCCJ Event in Aurora Hall Since AGM 2020

The last Tie-in, Tie Off of the year took place in Aurora Hall at the Norwegian Embassy in Hiro-o on Thursday November 26. Participants from the NCCJ gathered for a night of panel discussions, networking, a raffle and good conversations.

The program of the evening started of with a panel discussion by Natsuko Kawahara (Stokke Japan), Leif Nilsson (SAS) and Svend Haakon Kristensen (Laerdal Medical Japan), moderated by General Manager Simen Aasen – participating both physically and digitally by Zoom. To round off a year of our monthly benkyokai event series, the panelists revisited the topic covered in the first edition of year. Namely: How they were, are and will be dealing with the challenges related to the COVID-19 crisis. Many new reflections were touched upon after a year of new adaptions and quests for new solutions. Despite the participants representing businesses from both the B2B and B2C segments, some common denominators for learning were universally apparent: A jolt in the digitisation process, increased awareness of internal and external communication mechanisms and adaptation of more flexible and scaleable business models. An audience curious about the way forward and how to tackle the future, rounded off the discussion with engaging questions to the panelists in a Q&A session.

True to the Tie-in, Tie Off concept, the night was concluded with a nomikai networking session with free drinks and snacks. Two lucky winners in the raffle could take home with them one Jetkids suitcase each, kindly donated with Stokke Japan.

The NCCJ would like to thank the panelists, the embassy for assistance and all participants attending.
