September 21st marked the grand opening of the NCCJ member
Fuglen’s second café in Tokyo, Fuglen Asakusa.

Present at the event was not only a large crowd of coffee lovers, but also Fuglen’s founder Einar Kleppe Holthe and Japan’s General Manager Kenji Kojima. Even the new Norwegian Ambassador to Japan, Signe Brudeset, was there to honor the event with her presence.

Referred to by some as an informal Norwegian embassy in Tokyo this café will bring you not only Norwegian style coffee, but also vintage furniture and Norwegians’ beloved waffles with brunost (Norwegian brown cheese). We are excited to see the great success Fuglen has had so far, and are convinced that they will play an even more important role here in Tokyo in the years to come.

A big congratulations from us at NCCJ!
